The aim of every organization is to align work behaviour with organizational goals. Management has the responsibility to create measures that will produce desirable behaviors in organization. These relationships are displayed in the figure 2.5 as shown above (Werther et al .,1986). The law of effects describes that consequences derived from the behaviour performed by employees; the behavior being repeated and expanded when the positive outcome reinforce behaviour itself. Moreover, employee tend to work on the basis of measure in any circumstances. For instance, the relationship between behavior and the measure will be strong if there is a high incentive for high performance. So, the productivity of employee can be measured based on their work behaviour which leads to the achievement of organizational goals.
